Medical VISA to India

  • Medical Tourism in India has achieved incredible heights in recent years. The advancement in medical infrastructure in India has garnered much attention from Medical tourists worldwide. In fact, India ranks seven among the top 20 wellness tourism markets and four in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Currently, India’s visa-on-arrival system allows foreign tourists to stay for 60 days from the date of arrival. Patients need to apply for an e-Medical Visa, whereas for attendants, a separate e-Medical Attendant Visa needs to be applied. The validity of the e-Attendant Visa will be the same as for the patient.
  • For e-Medical, e-Medical Attendant Visa, applicants of the eligible countries/territories may apply online a minimum of four days in advance of the date of arrival with a window of 120 days. Example: If you are applying on 1st Sept, the applicant can select arrival date from 5th Sept to 2nd Jan.
  • The patients immigrating to India should keep in mind that their purpose is genuine and is only to receive the best treatment. Due to the same reason, the Indian immigration authorities need the applicants to satisfy the below- mentioned criteria:

  • Scanned Bio Page of the passport showing the Photograph and Details
  • Copy of Letter from the hospital concerned in India on its letterhead including the date / tentative date for which admission have been suggested

  • Registration for Bangladeshi And Pakistani Nationals International travellers having Pakistani Passport or Pakistani origin may please apply for regular Visa at Indian Mission.
  • Patients and attendants traveling from Pakistan and Bangladesh have to make sure that the requirements that are mentioned in Para 106 and Para 118 of the Visa Manual match for citizens of Bangladesh and Pakistan respectively. Furthermore, the citizens of these countries should stand by their date of arrival and departure as per the present policies of their countries.
